Compliance & Consent: Obtain necessary signatures on consent forms from clients and Legally Responsible Persons (LRP) to ensure departmental compliance.
Information Security: Process record requests from providers and authorized parties while strictly adhering to HIPAA and privacy regulations.
Quality Oversight: Review records for accuracy; flag and correct missing or erroneous information.
Audit Support: Retrieve and prepare documentation for audits, legal reviews, and internal quality checks.
Administrative Coordination: Create monthly documentation spreadsheets and oversee record retention and secure disposal schedules.
Support & Training: Assist staff in locating documentation and provide training on proper record-keeping procedures.
Client Advocacy: Follow up with clients and LRPs to educate and assist with inquiries regarding their records.
What We Are Looking For | Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Expertise: Solid understanding of clinical documentation, EHR software, and HIPAA privacy laws.
Skill Set: Exceptional organizational skills with a "eagle eye" for detail and accuracy.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service to clients and staff alike.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, manage sensitive data with the utmost confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
Location & Environment
This is a hybrid position. While you will enjoy the flexibility of remote work, you must have a conducive work environment with:
Stable, high-speed internet.
A quiet, private, and HIPAA-compliant space to handle sensitive client information.
